Raptors 109 @ OKC 121 and OKC 125 @ Grizzlies 112

 I am combining both games from the weekend because it's my blog I don't really pay attention to on the weekend. Also, I don't have a lot to say that is angry or insulting to these fanbases. They both seem to have respect for OKC in different ways. 

I watched the Raptors gamecast on Friday and while there were some data points and assumptions that were questionable, but the way they glazed SGA was a thing of art. The commentators would discuss aspects of the Raptors and then start going into how SGA was this and that. Really just feeding into their audience. Its just nice to see other fanbases do what I like to do and appreciate as much about the opposing team as possible. I even like Luka. Honest to God. Breaks my heart he is in LA. Less because of the Mavs and more because of the Lakers and how much that Serbian loved Dallas for whatever reason. He was happy outside of the org abusing him. Work sucks, I know.

Saturday was the Grizzlies. Man, those refs were something else. I am not big into blaming refs, but those guys really needed someone with some sort of experience on their team. Because guessing at things like they did doesn't work. Also, Ja's dad got ejected for grubbing refs for MORE fouls?

Grizzlies fanbase outside of the arena were different though and that surprises me. I've dealt with Memphis fans before. 2010s were big. This isn't them.

Game was fun. I do think the refs favored Memphis, but it was a game of grinding it out. OKC came to grind and Memphis couldn't overcome. That's what the Thunder are built to do.
